Dr. Joseph Olivier Mendo’o, originaire du Cameroun, est une figure éminente dans le domaine des sciences politiques et des relations internationales. Il a obtenu son doctorat à l’Université de Pékin et occupe depuis 2018 le poste prestigieux de Chef de délégation de la jeunesse africaine en Chine.
Son parcours en Asie a débuté en 2015, après avoir obtenu un master en sciences politiques à l’Université de Yaoundé 2, au Cameroun. Pendant six ans en Chine et deux ans au Japon, Mendo’o n’a cessé de s’intéresser au modèle de développement de ces deux pays et de promouvoir la culture et la sagesse africaines, tout en favorisant un véritable dialogue entre les jeunes.
Avec sa maîtrise de plus de 10 langues, dont le mandarin, le japonais, l’allemand et l’anglais, Mendo’o a régulièrement visité des zones rurales chinoises, notamment plus de 40 villages, lycées et collèges. Son objectif était d’« enseigner l’Afrique » aux populations chinoises, tout en apprenant sur la société chinoise et ses stratégies de réduction de la pauvreté. Pendant ses excursions, il a même occupé le poste d’assistant de cadre/chef de village en Chine, ce qui lui a valu la reconnaissance de la communauté rurale chinoise.
Sa contribution remarquable à la promotion des échanges culturels entre l’Afrique et la Chine lui a permis de devenir ambassadeur international dans plusieurs villes et villages, dont Lishui et Fuyang dans la province de Zhejiang. Cette reconnaissance témoigne de l’impact positif de Mendo’o sur les relations sino-africaines.
En 2021, Joseph Olivier Mendo’o a attiré l’attention du président chinois Xi Jinping en lui adressant deux correspondances. Ces lettres reflétaient ses expériences personnelles ainsi que quelques suggestions concernant la coopération sino-africaine et les préoccupations de la jeunesse. Il a reçu deux réponses du président chinois en juin et en août de la même année, témoignant ainsi de son influence et de sa pertinence dans le domaine.
En tant que leader de la jeunesse africaine en Chine, le Dr Joseph Olivier Mendo’o représente fièrement l’Afrique lors de nombreux sommets et forums de haut niveau organisés par l’ONU, les institutions gouvernementales chinoises et africaines. Son expertise et sa vision sont régulièrement sollicitées par les médias internationaux tels que CCTV, CGTN et CRTV pour partager ses perspectives sur les relations sino-africaines et le développement de l’Afrique.
Joseph Olivier Mendo’o incarne ainsi l’espoir d’une coopération solide entre l’Afrique et la Chine, mettant en avant la jeunesse africaine et favorisant l’échange de connaissances et de cultures entre les deux continents.

The song "Prayer of the Mothers", was born as a result of an alliance made between singer-songwriter Yael Deckelbaum, and a group of courageous women, leading the movement of “Women Wage Peace”.
The movement arose on summer 2014 during the escalation of violence between Israel and the Palestinians, and the military operation “Tzuk Eitan”.
On October 4, 2016, Jewish and Arab women began with the joint "March of Hope" project.
Thousands of women marched from the north of Israel to Jerusalem in a call for peace. A call that reached it’s peak on October 19th, in a march of at least 4,000 women half of them Palestinian, and Half Israeli, in Qasr el Yahud (on the northern Dead Sea).
The very same evening 15,000 women protested in front of the priministors house in Jerusalem.
The marches were joined by the Nobel Prize for Peace winner Leymah Gbowee, who lead to the end of the Second Liberian Civil War in 2003, by the joint force of women.
In the song, Yael combined a recording of Leymah, sampled from a youtube video in which she had sent her blessings to the movement.

نشأت الحركة في صيف 2014، خلال فترة التصعيد بين اسرائيل والفلسطينيين والهجوم العسكري على غزة في نفس الفترة.
في الرابع من اكتوبر 2016، بادرت مجموعة من النساء اليهوديات والفلسطينيات بمشروع مشترك تحت شعار "مسيرة السلام": آلاف النساء بدأن مسيرتهن من شمال البلاد إلى القدس وهن يطالبن بالسلام -نداء وصل أوجهُ في 19 اكتوبر، بمسيرة 4000 إمرأة، نصفهن فلسطينيات ونصفهن يهوديات، في ممطقة "قصر اليهود"، شمالي البحر الميت.
في نفس الليلة، 15000 إمرأة اشتركن في مظاهرة مقابل بيت رئيس الحكومة الإسرائيلي في القدس.
